Welcome to

Sahāyikā Wellness

Welcome! I’m Tarni, a Registered Psychotherapist (Q) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists Ontario, Canada and a Life Coach (United States). Through my journey, I’ve learned that the key to personal growth is compassionate self-acceptance. It is only through this deep acceptance that we begin to understand our true selves, our potential, and our life’s purpose.

Self-discovery is a courageous process—one that takes time, patience, and self-compassion. Through self-awareness, we begin to understand how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors shape our experience. We gain insight into our triggers, the influences of our past, and their impact on our present and futureselves. Ultimately, through this understanding, we can approach ourselves with curiosity and acceptance, embracing all parts of who we are. This allows us to release what no longer serves us and create a path forward—one rooted in clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.

I approach every session with a "not-knowing" stance—meaning, I see you as the expert of your own story, and I am here to walk alongside you in a collaborative, judgment-free space.

Why “Sahāyikā Wellness”?

It is more than a name

The name Sahāyikā is derived from the Sanskrit word "Sahayika" (सहायिका), which translates to "a helper" or "a supportive companion", representing the power of compassionate guidance.

I chose this name because it symbolizes the collaborative nature of healing—this is not a journey you need to walk alone. At Sahāyikā Wellness, you will be supported, heard, and empowered to take the steps that lead to your best self. The name also underscores the importance of intersectionality and cultural understanding, embracing the idea that each individual’s experience and path to wellness is unique and requires a tailored, compassionate approach. The name reflects the healing power of support and the importance of understanding and acknowledging one’s unique cultural and personal identity on the journey toward emotional well-being, healing, and self-discovery.

Healing is a collaborative process where we will work together to find clarity, strength, and purpose.
